Three Job Opportunities Posted For The City of Stow

STOW, OH -- The City of Stow posted at least three job opportunities to its Web site. Open positions include: Firefighter, Communications Specialist (Dispatcher 1 and 2) and Police School Crossing Guards. For more information, call 330-689-2805. Job descriptions for each are listed below.

• Communications Specialist -- Performs a variety of complex duties of clerical, administrative, and technical work involved in the receipt and dispatching of routine and emergency calls for law enforcement, fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Obtains complete, accurate and appropriate information from callers. Evaluates and prioritizes the complaint or request. Determines what further action is necessary and dispatches proper personnel accordingly utilizing a computer-aided dispatch system, at times under adverse conditions and extreme pressure. • Police School Crossing Guards -- The City of Stow is currently taking applications for School Crossing Guards for the Stow Police Department. School Crossing Guards should reside in the immediate Stow area.
