Riverhawks fly west for sun, sand and ball
Coach Fala Bullock's squad flies west for games Friday, Saturday.

Amongst the many out-of-state Californians returning home for Thanksgiving this year will be athletes wearing Riverhawks gear. Coach Fala Bullock led her women’s basketball team to Los Angeles for a two-day, four-team mini-tournament.
The Riverhawks (1-3 on the year) face the Biola Eagles (1-3) on Friday before taking on the host Azusa Pacific Cougars (3-1) on Saturday. Idaho’s Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks (4-0) round out the field.
All games will be played at Azusa Pacific’s Felix Events Center, located one hour east of Los Angeles. Tipoff for Friday’s game will be 3pm with a 5pm start scheduled for Saturday. (Pay-per-view will be available via the Riverhawks’ website at: https://goriverhawksgo.com/coverage.aspx).

A Southern California native, Coach Bullock began her intercollegiate career at Orange County’s Irvine Valley College before transferring to Northeastern State as a junior in 2004.
Three of the Riverhawks’ roster also enjoy California ties – senior center Joi Bertrand (Long Beach), junior forward Julia Hill (Redding) and junior guard Maddie Morrow (Riverside) – and between practices Coach Bullock made sure the squad had time for some sun ‘n’ sand ‘n’ sightseeing.
