A street reconstruction project on West Sixth Street and West Seventh Street, between South Denver Avenue and South Jackson Avenue, is scheduled to begin on April 21. Work will begin with waterline replacement.
Traffic changes for the beginning phases of the project will include the following:

- Seventh Street between Southwest Boulevard and Houston Avenue will be limited to one lane in each direction.
- Sixth Street between Houston Avenue and Elwood Avenue will be closed, and traffic will be detoured to Seventh Street.
- Sixth Street between Houston Avenue and Denver Avenue will be limited to one lane in each direction.
This project includes street reconstruction, waterline replacement and traffic signal replacement. The City of Tulsa has contracted with Crossland Heavy Contractors for this $4,603,000 Improve Our Tulsa project.
Completion of the project is scheduled for spring 2021.
