Oceanview Sr. Living Exec. Dir. to Shave Head on Sat. for Charity

Oceanview Senior Living staff started this fundraising effort after a fellow staff member was diagnosed with breast cancer. The funds go to CAN Cancer is administered through the Pacific Communities Health District Foundation and provides financial assistance for cancer patients in Lincoln County for non-medical expenses (gas money, food, bill pay, etc.). Becky Donaldson, Executive Director said that she would have her head shaved when they reached $5,000. Two others have had their heads shaved in support of the cause; Jim Graham, shaved his head when they raised $1,500, on June 7; and Derek Kindschuh, culinary director at Oceanview Senior Living, shaved his head on July 29, after they raised $4,000. Donaldson’s head will be shaved in a local salon by a professional hair stylist.
