Chick fil-A Sets March 31 Opening in Tanasbourne
Oregon's first Chick fil-A is set to open in Hillsboro's Tanasbourne neighborhood in just a couple of weeks.

The first Chick fil-A in Oregon is set to open March 31 in Hillsboro's Tanasbourne.
Owner Brian Hogan, a Hillsboro native, says the restaurant will employ some 80 full and part-time employees and he is working with schools and other local charities and organizations to develop partnerships.
According to a release, Hogan is a fifth-generation Oregonian and is opening his restaurant just three miles from where he grew up on Henning Street.

"This is a homecoming for me," he said in the release. "
The restaurant, at 2865 NW Town Center Drive, was built to LEED certification, which means it has energy efficiencies, air quality control measures and waste diversion measures to certain standards.

Hogan says the restaurant will make every effort to use local suppliers for their ingredients including getting all of its bread from Franz Bakery and making sure all of the potatoes that are used come from the Columbia River Basin.
When ground was broken on the site last September, dozens of community leaders - including City Council members and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce attended.
