Colt Lyerla Back In Custody After Another Arrest On Drug Charges
Once a standout prospect for the Oregon Ducks, Lyerla is already a convicted felon. This new arrested again on Dec. 6 on a heroin charge.

HILLSBORO, OR – It's hard to imagine more trouble for Colt Lyerla, the once standout member of the Oregon Ducks. That's exactly what happened last week when he was arrested and charged with heroin possession.
He is also charged with parole and probation violations.
Lyerla's most recent trouble with the law came in 2017 when he was first sentenced to six months in jail after being convicted of forgery. The following month, he received another 30 days after having escaped.

He had escaped on a Friday and was arrested the next day in a home in Hillsboro where he had almost died from a drug overdose.

Lyerla was a star tight end at Hillsboro High School and earned a starting spot with the Ducks.
He left the Ducks after two seasons after being suspended for violating team rules.
While he went undrafted by the NFL, he ended up getting signed by the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers waived him after he injured his knee in preseason.
