Hillsboro Parks: Groundbreaking on Orenco Woods Nature Park

Park expected to open in 2017.

Hillsboro officials Wednesday broke ground on the Orenco Woods Nature Park.

The park is the former site of the Orenco Woods Golf Course, which was purchased in December 2011.

The city's park and recreation department has been working with Metro and the Trust for Public Land.

The plan is to open the nature park in 2017.
