Hillsboro Pedestrian Struck By Car, Killed In Sunday Night Crash
The 22-year-old woman was crossing by Tualatin Valley Highway and 44th Avenue.when she was struck and killed. The driver stayed on scene.
HILLSBORO, OR – A 22-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car Sunday evening in Hillsboro. It happened near the intersection of Southeast Tualatin Valley Highway and Southeast 44th Avenue.
Police say that the woman – whose name has not been released – was crossing the street around 5 p.m. when she was struck.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic in the area was closed for about four hours.

The driver of the car, a woman whose name also has not been released, stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers.
Police have not released details about whether the victim was in the crosswalk or who had he right of way.
