Hillsboro Police Charge Man With Attempting To Murder His Wife

Hillsboro Police say they've arrested Fidencio Diaz-Eguiza and charged him with trying to kill his wife.

HILLSBORO, OR – Fidencio Diaz-Eguiza is in jail. Hillsboro Police arrested the 61-year-old Monday morning and charged him with trying to murder his wife.

Officers had responded to the couple's hope at 2798 Southeast Tumblestone Drive around 4:15 on Sunday afternoon.

They found Diaz-Eguiza's wife. She had been shot and was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

Officials had originally asked for the public's help finding Diaz-Eguiza, calling him a person of interest.

He was found early Monday morning hiding in a cabinet in the garage of the home. He's charged with attempted murder, assault, and unlawful use of a weapon.
