Hillsboro Woman Wasn't Being Robbed – Her Garage Was On Fire
A woman in Hillsboro called 911 early Wednesday morning because she thought that there were robbers. Turns out that her garage was on fire.
HILLSBORO, OR – It was around 4:45 on Wednesday morning. A woman living in a house on the 1900 block of Southeast Currin Drive called 911.
I think that someone is breaking to my garage, she told them.
She ran from her home and, as she did, suddenly heard some alarms going off and the sound of glass breaking. Then she saw the black smoke rising from the garage. It wasn't that someone had broken in to the garage. The garage was on fire.

Twenty firefighters from Hillsboro Fire and Rescue arrived, found the woman safely outside the house and went to work, quickly extinguishing the fire.

There were no injuries and officials determined that the fire was caused by a light fixture in the garage.
