Jersey Mike's Subs Opening in Hillsboro, Giving to Schools Foundation
The March 29 grand opening coincides with the company's Day of Giving, for which it donates 100 percent of its proceeds to local charities.

HILLSBORO, OR – National sandwich chain Jersey Mike’s Subs is coming to Hillsboro and plans to immediately start giving back to the community.
The new franchise at 4544 N.E. Cornell Rd. will coincide its grand opening Wednesday, March 29, with the chain’s Day of Giving by providing residents with 10,000 coupons that offer a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to the Hillsboro Schools Foundation.
The promotion continues through April 2.

Locations throughout the Portland metro region, Bend, and Eugene will also contribute to charities, including Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.
“We are excited to become a part of the Hillsboro community and begin our relationship with the local schools during our grand opening fundraiser,” said franchise owner Zach Heikkala. “Everyone here has been so welcoming to us and we are excited to build and grow alongside such a great community."

According to a company statement, Jersey Mike locations throughout the U.S. –– 1,226 stores in 43 states, with six more expected to join Hillsboro’s grand opening Wednesday –– have raised nearly $20 million for local charities and made more than 1.5 million free sub sandwiches for various causes.
On Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving 2016, participating franchises raised more than $4 million.
Heikkala also owns franchises in Beaverton, Clackamas, Happy Valley, and Tualatin.
