Kyle Allen Announces Re-Election Bid To Hillsboro City Council
Hoping to extend his stay on the dais, Allen seeks a second term with the Hillsboro City Council. Allen began his service in November 2014.

HILLSBORO, OR - From the Campaign to Re-Elect Kyle Allen: Hillsboro City Councilor Kyle Allen announced today that he will seek re-election to the Hillsboro City Council. The election will take place November 6.
Allen was first elected to the CIty Council in November 2014, and was sworn in January 2015. If re-elected, he will serve a second 4 year term. City Councilors are limited to two terms.
Kyle Allen sits on the city’s Finance Committee. He is the City Council’s designated representative to the Regional Disaster Preparedness Organization.

Kyle Allen also serves as the Council’s designated representative to the Washington County Policy Advisory Board for Federal HOME Funds and Community Development Block Grants to address affordable housing.
Allen serves on the League of Oregon Cities’ Transportation Committee as well as its Energy Policy Committee.

Kyle Allen also serves on the Hillsboro 2035 Oversight Committee. This year, Allen was elected as the Hillsboro Budget Committee Vice Chair.
Aside from City responsibilities, Kyle Allen is also active in the community. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Family Promise of Washington County, which is a homeless shelter and resource program for families with children.
Allen is a participant in the 2018 Leadership Hillsboro program, which is run by the Chamber of Commerce. He works for Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, where he manages school-based programs to improve health outcomes for children in Washington County.
Councilor Allen’s priorities if re-elected are public safety, transportation, and affordable housing and community livability.
During his time on the City Council Allen has advocated for sidewalk and bike lane construction, additional community service grants for affordable housing, and the recently announced city-operated fiber internet plan.
Allen is supported by community leaders throughout the Hillsboro area including Mayor Steve Callaway, City Councilor Fred Nachtigal, City Councilor Anthony Martin, State Senator Chuck Riley, State Representative Susan McLain, State Representative Janeen Sollman, Hillsboro School Board Member Erika Lopez, Hillsboro School Board Member Jaci Spross, and many more.

In his free time, Kyle Allen enjoys being with his wife, Lisa, and their two children Lily and Kaden.
