New Hotel for Hillsboro as Residence Inn by Marriott Opens
New hotel taking advantage of Hillsboro's growing economy.
With Hillsboro growing, so has the need to provide a place to stay for people coming into town for business.
A new Residence Inn by Marriott opening Tuesday hopes to tap into the market.
The 146-suite hotel at 3160 Northeast Brookwood is four miles from downtown Hillsboro and less than two miles from the Hillsboro Airport.

A spokesman for the city, Patrick Preston, said the Residence Inn is one of nine hotels either opening or soon to open.
Preston said the city's economic outlook has been growing with continued investment and expansion from companies such as Intel, Reser's Fine Foods, ASML, ViaWest, Hillsboro Aviation, SureID, Genentech, and Laika.

In addition, TopGolf is opening its facility near Brookwood Parkway this year.
