Oregon Air Show Is This Weekend: What You Need To Know

The shows start at 6 p.m. Friday and at noon on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets run from $5 to $35 and are available at oregonairshow.com.

HILLSBORO, OR – Forget about lions, and tigers, and bears. How about Hornets, Snowbirds, and Hawks?

It's time for the Oregon International Air Show. For the 31st time since 1988, what has become the largest civilian air show on the West Coast is taking over the Hillsboro Airport.

Friday night, gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the flying begins 15 minutes later with the show ending at 9 p.m..

On Saturday and Sunday, gates will open at 9 a.m., opening ceremonies will happen at 11:50 a.m. and the flying ten minutes later. The gates close each of those days at 5 p.m., with the flying coming to an end 15 minutes before.

Tickets run from $5 to $35 and are available at the show's website, oregonairshow.com.

Among the shows are performances by the U.S. Air National Guard, the Ladies for Liberty, the Redline Airshows, the Smoke-n-Thunder Jet Truck, and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.

There are also fireworks on Friday night.

The Air Show has planes in the air, one the ground, and even planes to ride.

And with the planes, there will be traffic – in the air and on the ground.

From Northeast Brookwood Road to Sewell Road to Evergreen Road, there will be plenty of closures. You can see the full list here.

The show lists these areas for parking:

On-Field Parking: Entrance on NE Cornell Rd. opposite Fairgrounds. Limited spaces available. $45 or $55 online only.

Sunset West Business Park: 1800 NE 25th Avenue. Closest to VIP entrance gate. Parking included with President’s Club tickets. $20 cash only at entrance.

Intel Jones Farm: Two entrances: 2111 NE 25th Ave. and on NE Griffin Oaks St. Close to Official Sponsor, “Intel Blue” Admission Gate (previously Orange Gate) VIP parking included with Gardens tickets. $10 cash only at parking lot entrances.

Washington County Fairgrounds: Entrance on NE 34th Ave - accessible from NE Cornell Rd. and Veterans Dr. Close to General Admission area “Red” Admission Gate - Official Sponsor, PCC Structurals, Inc. $10 cash only at parking lot entrance.

There is also two locations for handicap parking:

Free On-Field until full: A limited number of free parking passes for handicapped parking are available online only and can be downloaded here. Must have air show tickets to enter. Guests must show all three credentials in order to enter the White Gate entrance off Cornell Rd. opposite Fairgrounds:• An admission ticket for each guest in car• A handicap placard•The free handicap parking ticket

Intel Jones Farm: Two entrances: 2111 NE 25th Ave. and on NE Griffin Oaks St. Close to Intel Blue (previously Orange) Admission gate. ($10 cash only at parking lot entrances.)

As always, no tailgating, alcoholic beverages, picnicking, cooking/barbecue grilling, camping or loitering in any parking area is allowed.
