Oregon's fifth-largest city, the City of Hillsboro is recruiting a new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager. Join the more than 700 employees and 400 part-time/temporary employees of the City’s eleven departments, serving as a critical partner during this moment of change in our world.

We are looking for a DEI Manager that is skilled in:

  • Providing positive and effective customer service;
  • Managing, coordinating and implementing projects and programs;
  • Positive interpersonal and cross-cultural communications, facilitation, mediation and conflict resolution;
  • Addressing and advocating on complex social issues, needs, and complaints at all levels of the organization;
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, goals and objectives;
  • Preparing and delivering public presentations on sensitive subjects;
  • Serving as a liaison;
  • Managing, monitoring, training and evaluating staff;
  • Developing and maintaining reports, briefings, and program documentation;
  • Maintaining and appropriate handling of confidential and sensitive information;
  • Interpreting and applying applicable laws, codes, regulations and standards;
  • Utilizing a computer and relevant software applications;
  • Promoting a culture of teamwork and communication by working in collaboration and treating coworkers with respect and dignity and maintaining an open mind to diverse voices and ideas.
