Police Chase Leads To Crash Into Gales Creek, Submerging Car
Two people had to be rescued from Gales Creek after the car they were in crashed as they were being chased by police
FOREST GROVE, OR – Two people are in the hospital after being pulled from Gales Creek. They ended up their after the car that they were in crashed there, ending a chase by police.
It happened Friday morning.
The car they were in was spotted by a North Plains police officer who was on patrol on Highway 26. Officials the car was going faster than 100 miles per hour.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office got involved, laying down spike strips on Highway 6 in an attempt to slow the car down.

The car drove over the strips, lost control, and ended up in the creek.
The man who was driving was thrown from the car and started heading downstream where he was pulled out by members of Forest Grove Fire and Rescue.
The woman who was the passenger was trapped in the car and had to be rescued.
They were both rushed to hospitals though the extent of their injuries has not been released. While officials say that the man had a warrant out for his arrest, they have not yet elaborated on what charges that the two may face.
