Venetian Theatre & Bistro in Downtown Hillsboro to Close April 13
What the new owners will do with the Venetian is still unknown.
HILLSBORO, OR – The Venetian Theatre & Bistro will close Thursday, April 13, the Hillsboro Tribune confirmed Wednesday.
The Venetian’s future had been in question since owner Denzil Scheller confirmed in February his plans to sell the popular downtown theater and restaurant, located at 253 E. Main St., though he would not say who the new owners would be or what would become of the Venetian after the sale.
The plan to sell most directly affects stage production company Bag&Baggage, which performed at the Venetian since 2007 and had a large comedy play planned for May.
