Dead Cats Being Investigated By Washington County Sheriff

One of the cats was found with a string wrapped tightly around its neck near the King Village Mobile Home Park.

HILLSBORO, OR – At least three cats have been found dead in the area around the King Village Mobile Home Park. The sheriff's office says that they've also received reports of cats being abused.

They were first called to the area, which is located at 12450 SW Fischer Road by Tigard and King City, on Saturday.

Deputies met with a woman who found her cat dead, a string wrapped tightly around its neck. The cat was covered with mud and one of its eyes was damaged.

They were also called back on Monday after a third cat was found dead. Deputies think that while it may have been hit by a car, they also think it may be connected to the other two cats.

Investigators will determine how the cats died.

Deputies say that detectives are investigating the case and ask that anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at (503) 846-2500.
