Washington County Fair Opens Thursday: What You Need To Know

HILLSBORO, OR - It's that time of year. The Washington County Fair opens Thursday, July 26 and runs through Sunday, July 29. Admission to the fair is free, but there is a charge for parking and for featured concerts.

On Saturday, ZZ Top—The Tonnage Tour will be the featured concert beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here. Reserved seats and wheelchair and mobility devise-accessible reserved tickets are $60 each. General admission tickets are $45 each. The sale of the VIP Packages being offered by the band has now concluded.

On Friday, country artist Dustin Lynch will perform some of his hits, including “Where It’s At”, “Hell of a Night”, “Mind Reader”, “Seein’ Red” and his most recent hit “Small Town Boy.” The concert tickets are $60 for the Party Pit, if still available, which is standing only with no chairs, $45 to $55 for the reserved seats, $25 each for the General Admission tickets. There is a Meet & Greet with Lynch being offered for $150 in addition to the concert ticket cost. Children ages 2 and under do not need a ticket to attend the concert with a paying adult. The gate will open at 5 p.m. and the concert will start at 7 p.m.

Some of the fair's daily highlights include:

• The All Alaskan Racing Pigs: The Racing Pigs will hit the track three times each day of the Fair. They race and they soar over hurdles.
• The Bug-Ology Exhibit is new to the Fair this year. You'll see big animatronic bugs, you can participate in interactive educational games, and you'll see lots of live bugs and learn all about them. Bug-Ology is free to visit and will be located under a giant tent at Friendship Plaza.
• The Monster Energy Freestylemx.com Worldwide Tour presented by Can-AM will be featured. It is the first time for this tour to perform at the Fair and there will be three free shows daily in the arena. Founded in 1997, by SCORE champion off-road rider Marc Burnett, FreestyleMx.com, is the operator of the world's largest motocross website and today is the largest international organizer and promoter of freestyle motocross, traveling worldwide with the Monster Energy FreestyleMx.com Tour Presented By Can-Am – the largest and longest running tour in the world, featuring top international FMX superstars.

10:00 a.m. – midnight
• Midway opens at noon and closes at midnight
• Entry gates close at 10 p.m.
• No re-entry after 10 p.m.

PARKING

• $10 for regular vehicle
• $15 for over-sized vehicles and buses
• Take MAX to the Fair. The Shuttle Bus will run regularly from the Fair Complex Light Rail Station to the Fair entrance gate compliments of Les Schwab Tire Centers.
• Also, you can ride your bike to the fair and park it in a secure bicycle area by the Main Gate.
