Washington County Sheriff K9 Tracks Suspected Car Prowler [VIDEO]
Stark, a K9 deputy with the Washington County Sheriff's Office tracked and help arrest a suspected car prowler in Bethany Friday morning.
HILLSBORO, OR – Oregonian historically are not huge fans of Californians moving north. They have made an exception for Stark, an 8-year-old Belgian Malinois mix who works for the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
He is a very good boy.
Early Friday morning, Stark and his partner – Corporal Micah Akin – responded to a report of car prowlers on the 6000 block of Northwest Calypso Terrace in Bethany.

A caller had told 911 that they'd seen three people trying to get into a car before running away.

Within 15 minutes of searching, Stark led Akin to Ramon Zendejas-Holt, a 19-year-old from Portland who was hiding the backyard of a home.
Deputies say that he had a wallet on him that had been stolen from a nearby car. They returned it to its owner.
They then found his Volkswagen sedan nearby. In the car was two women and a large amount of foreign currency that deputies believe had been stolen from a car.
Zendejas-Holt is charged unlawful entry motor vehicle and theft. he's also being held on an outstanding felony warrant.
No word from the sheriff's office yet on the two women.
Stark hold the Washington County Sheriff's Office K9 record for the most captures with 186. The next closest K9 has 124.
Last month, Patch highlighted a very busy night for Stark when he had three captures.
