2021 Primary Election Day In Abington: Who's On The Ballot

Pennsylvania's primary election is coming up. Here's what voters need to know about this year's local elections.

ABINGTON, PA — The 2021 primary election in Pennsylvania is just around the corner, and several municipal races are on the ballot for local voters to decide.

Many of the races that appear on the ballots are uncontested in the primary, meaning that the only real decision voters will need to make will come in the general election in November.

However, there are some important primary races that will be determined May 18, not to mention the ballot questions on proposed constitutional amendments.

Here's a glance at what voters will see in the Abington area:

In the school board race, there are four open seats for four year terms. Eight are on the Democratic ballot, and five on the Republican ballot.

The eight Democrats competing for four slots are Leah Fesi, Brian Allen, John Stadvec, Angelique Frazier, Robert Wolf, Paul Morse Jr., Jocelyn Jones Pickford, and Yaaslyn Muhammad.

On the Republican side are cross-filing candidates Robert Wolf, John Stadvec, Paul Morse Jr., Jocelyn Jones Pickford, and Brian Allen.

The Democratic race for Abington Tax Collector is also contested, between Cathy Spaulding and Jay Blumenthal. Virginia Malloy is running unopposed on the Republican ballot.

Polls will open Tuesday, May 18 at 7 a.m. Voters can cast ballots up until 8 p.m.
