23-Year-Old Montgomery County Man Killed In Skiing Accident
A 23-year-old Montgomery County man was killed in a skiing accident this week, officials said.

UPPER DUBLIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A 23-year-old Montgomery County man was killed in a skiing accident earlier this week in Lehigh Valley, officials confirmed Wednesday night.
Matthew Rosenstein, a graduate of Upper Dublin Township and George Washington University, was 23.
Rosenstein crashed into snow-blowing equipment while skiing at around 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23 at Bear Creek Mountain Resort, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said.

He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, his family noted in social media posts.
First responders took him to Lehigh Valley Hospital at Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 3:13 p.m.

The resort told the Morning Call in Lehigh Valley that they are investigating the incident. The coroner's office ruled his death accidental.
Family, friends, and those who knew Rosenstein as a student and volunteer spoke highly of his character.
"Matt’s years in NFTY-PAR and contributions on Regional Board and summers at Kutz Camp were great, and he will be deeply missed," the North American Federation of Temple Youth — Pennsylvania Area Region said in a statement.
A funeral will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael Sacks in Philadelphia.
According to his obituary, contributions in his memory can be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, Gift of Life on Old York Road, Temple Beth Am, or Lubavitch of Ft. Washington.
