4th Of July Fireworks 2021 Near Abington

ABINGTON, PA — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening near Abington so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4 in the area.

July 4 Festivities

Glenside

The Greater Glenside Patriotic Association's "America the Beautiful Aerial Fireworks Spectacular" will be held after dark on July 4, at Abington High School.

A Children's Morning Program begins at 10 a.m., with a parade scheduled for 4 p.m. Details here.

Ambler

Ambler's 2021 fireworks celebration is canceled. A statement was released by Kiwanis, the event's organizers: "The logistics, number of required volunteers, and space required made coordinating this years beyond what our small group of volunteers could safely pull off. We welcome new members to join Kiwanis Club Of Ambler PA to help us pull off future events - and we hope to host a family friendly event later in the year."

North Wales

North Wales' 4th of July Parade is on. It will be held on Main Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Norristown

Norristown officials have not yet made formal announcements on the details of their event, though they said that this information would be forthcoming shortly. It does not appear that the fireworks will be canceled as they were in 2020.

Lower Providence

Lower Providence's 2021 fireworks will be held at dusk on 4th of July. A celebration featuring a DJ begins at 7:30 p.m. at Eagleville Park.

Upper Merion Township

Upper Merion, like Norristown, has made no announcements on 2021 fireworks after their 2020 event was canceled.

Pottstown

Pottstown's GoFourth celebration is on as scheduled, with events planned throughout the day on 4th of July. Fireworks are slated for 9 p.m. Details.

Colebrookdale Railroad

Ride the historic Colebrookdale Railroad to get to the fireworks in Pottstown.
