6,300 Without Power In Abington

More than 130,000 customers around Montgomery County lost power as a powerful storm rolled through the region Wednesday afternoon.

ABINGTON, PA — Thousands of residents in Abington Township are without power Wednesday after a powerful storm ripped through the region earlier in the afternoon.

The storm brought down trees and power lines in many places, and caused 130 separate outages in Abington Township.

A total of 6,301 residents, or 28 percent of all township customers, were impacted by the outages, according to PECO.
