Abington-Area School Wins FBI-SOS Internet Challenge Award
The Safe Online Surfing Internet Challenge teaches kids how to use the internet in a safe manner.

Students at St. Joseph the Protector School in Abington have won the FBI-Safe Online Surfing Internet Challenge's National Award for April 2013.
St. Joseph's students, along with guidnace from teacher Lisa Ortolani,posted the best cumulative score in the country for schools with 51-100 participants.Â
FBI-SOS is an intiative run by the FBI designed to educate third through eighth grade students about cyber safety. The students are tested on sharing personal information, how to create strong passwords, cell phone safety, using social networking and online gaming safety, among other topics.Â

Students are given an exam after completing all the activities available and compete for a national award in one of three size-based categories.
