Abington Native Matthew Stinger, 33, Devoted Community Volunteer, Passes Away

Matthew Stinger is remembered for his stalwart devotion to the Double H Ranch Camp and the hemophilia community.

HATBORO, PA -- Matthew M. Stinger of Hatboro passed away suddenly on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the age of 33. He was born in Abington, PA the son of Susanne Stinger and the late Arthur Stinger.

Matt was an Upper Moreland High School graduate class of 2001 where he participated on the swim and golf team. He earned his Bachelor's degree as well as his Master's degree from Seton Hall University.
He was very involved with The Double H Ranch Camp both as a camp attendee and a counselor. Matthew was very active in the hemophilia community as a patient care advocate and volunteer. He also worked as a registered nurse in the emergency room at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

In addition to his mother Susanne, Matt is survived by his brother Patrick M. Stinger and numerous aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Friday, August 19 after 10am in Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia, 13500 Philmont Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19116 and are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 12 noon. His interment will be private.
