Boys Invited to Audition for Metropolitan Ballet’s Scholarship Program.

Saturday June 8, 9:00 a.m.at Metropolitan’s studio, 700 Cedar Road, Jenkintown, PA.

Want to jump higher? Fly further? Have fun, build muscle and gain serious classical dance skills? Metropolitan Ballet Company is holding auditions for Boys ages 7 - 18 for free dance classes during the 2019-2020 school year! Performance opportunities are also available. This is the 20th year for the high-quality training program, Classes are taught by Metropolitan faculty Daniel Mayo (formerly Ballet X) and Etienne Diaz (Pennsylvania Ballet). No previous dance experience is required. All-male classes enhance athletic skills, flexibility and strength.

Metropolitan Ballet alumnus and Jenkintown native, Peter Weil, was promoted May 14 to the rank of Soloist with Pennsylvania Ballet! Other Met alumni are dancing in companies across the country. The rigorous classical training and performance opportunities provide a framework for success for young men, whether pursuing a career in the performing arts or heading to college for a variety of careers.

Audition Date: Sat. June 8, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. 700 Cedar Road, Jenkintown 19046. Boys should arrive ready to participate in a beginner class at 9:00 a.m., wearing gym clothes or dance attire.
