Colonial School District Named 'Best Community For Music'

PLYMOUTH-WHITEMARSH, PA — The Colonial School District has once again received a prestigious honor recognizing the excellence of its music programming.

Locally, Abington, Lower Moreland, Methacton, Norristown, North Penn, and Perkiomen Valley were also honored.

According to the NAMM Foundation, the award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education.

Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.

In order to qualify for the award, schools must provide information regarding funding, graduation requirements, facilities, participation in music classes, and more.
