Controlled Deer Hunt To Take Place In Montgomery County
Only 38 hunters will be selected for the special privilege.

Select hunters will have a chance to apply for a permit to hunt for deer on a special one-day only, controlled, antler-less deer hunt in Norristown.
The hunt is a part of Norristown Farm Park’s wildlife management program that was launched in 2005.
Hunters must mail in an application to the Farm Park, and 38 accepted applications will be drawn at a public lottery on December 5.

The hunt will take place on January 20, 2016 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Hunters may only use a 12-gauge shotgun with slug ammunition, not buckshot.

No antlered deer are permitted to be shot.
Hunters must be 21 or older to submit an application, or 18 or older if they are in the military.
Those interested in participating in this year’s hunt should mail, or drop-off a 3” x 5” card containing the following information: name, legal address, telephone number, driver’s license number, PA hunting license number, and WMU 5D antlerless tag number(s). In addition, each applicant is asked to submit a self-addressed, stamped business-size envelope for return correspondence. Applications are to be mailed to: Norristown Farm Park, 2500 Upper Farm Road, Norristown, PA 19403.
Norristown Farm Park is located at the intersection of Germantown Pike and North Wales Road.
