Dog Walker Finds Body In Montco, Homicide Investigation Launched

Police are investigating after a dog walker came across a dead body in Montgomery County on Thursday.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — An investigation is underway in Montgomery County after a dog walker found a body Thursday morning.

The body was found in Cheltenham Township at around 9:46 a.m., near the 150 block of Tookany Creek Parkway.

The victim, identified later as a 50-year-old man, Christian Williams, was inside a vehicle in the lot at William Gottschalk Field. The preliminary investigation revealed that he had been shot in the chest, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.

An autopsy with the coroner's office has been scheduled.

Williams owned the vehicle he was found inside, police said. No other details regarding the incident are available.
