Roads That Remain Shut Down In Abington

ABINGTON, PA — Authorities are warning residents to avoid several roads in Abington Township after power lines were brought down by heavy winds Monday.

The following roads are closed Monday:

• Easton Road is shut down between Moreland Road and Old Welsh Road
• Highland Ave, between Mt. Carmel and Kenmore
• Edge Hill Road, between Bradfield Road and Custer Avenue
• Davisville Road, between Easton and Maplewood
• Madison Ave, between Susquehanna and Clemens

Motorists should take alternate routes and plan for delays in the area.

More than a hundred Abington residents were without power Monday morning, and more than 8,200 residents had reported outages across Montgomery County by around 10:30 a.m.
