Eastern Opens Doors to Cosmetology Clinic
Eastern Center for Arts and Technology's Cosmetology Clinic is open to the public.

As recently as April 6, Erika Rambo, an Eastern Center for Arts and Technology cosmetology student and Abington Senior High School senior, held a public cosmetology clinic in order to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
It has provided this service to the public for the last 25 years, on a first come, first serve basis, according to a recent Eastern press release. Eastern Cosmetology students are available most Thursdays and Fridays to provide hair, nail and skin services to the general public for a small fee in between the hours of 8 to 10 a.m. and 12:15 to 2:15 p.m.
According to the release, the only cost to the client is the cost of the product to the school.

Students attending Eastern's cosmetology program save time and money by completing a nail technician and/or cosmetology program while still in high school. This provides the student a substantial savings as the cost of a private beauty school after high school averages from approximately $2,000 to $12,500. This two-year half-day program will provide the skills necessary to begin a career in the cosmetology field. In Pennsylvania, as well as other states, cosmetologists and nail technicians must be licensed to practice in the field.
Customers are asked to call 215-784-4800, Ext. 223 to make sure that clinic is in session.
