Elkins Park Eatery Has Free Babysitting For Valentines Day Dinner

A three-course dinner, complimentary wine, and fresh roses for parents, while kids get a story, a movie, and dinner of their own.

ELKINS PARK, PA — A Montgomery County restaurant is offering something unique this Valentines Day: free babysitting for your children while you enjoy a romantic meal.

Rose Petals Cafe, located in Elkins Park, will feature a three-course dinner, along with complimentary wine and fresh roses.

"We understand that while Valentine's Day may be one of the biggest nights of the year for couples to go out to dinner, many parents are unable to enjoy the holiday because they can't leave their kids at home," Jania Daniels, who co-owns the eatery with her husband Desmin, said. "We wanted to give those parents an option to go out for a romantic evening, while making sure their kids were also taken care of. We are looking forward to hosting a fun evening for both parents and kids, but separately and in their own special way."

Children will hang out in the community room while parents eat dinner. The Daniels' own three children will be there, along with qualified caregivers, the restaurant said. They'll be read a story, shown a movie, fed dinner, and given Valentines.

The restaurant, which had been based in Germantown before closing, opened up in Elkins Park last September.
