With potentially powerful storms moving through the region Friday night, a flash flood warning was issued in Abington.

ABINGTON, PA — With potentially powerful storms moving through the region Friday night, a flash flood warning was issued in Abington.
The warning is in effect until 9 p.m. for much of southeastern Montgomery County and central Philadelphia.
Roughly two inches had fallen as of 7 p.m., with another half inch possible Runoff from earlier rainfall will continue, the warning states, with flooding expected to begin shortly.

Areas near small creeks and streams are especially vulnerable.
Specific locations names in the alert include Philadelphia, Palmyra, Rockledge, Bryn Athyn, Wissinoming, Tacony, Holmesburg, Kensington, Center City, Northeast Philadelphia, Roxborough, and Pennsauken.
