HHSD Manufacturing & Engineering Students Make Toys for Tots
Hatboro-Horsham Manufacturing and Engineering Students Make Toys the Old Fashioned Way…They Build Them!

Since 2007, Hatboro-Horsham High School Technology Education Teacher Nick Pompei and his Manufacturing & Engineering students have brainstormed a unique toy to design and build for their class project. The completed toys are donated to Toys for Tots. The foundation is run by the United States Marine Corps and donates toys to families that are unable to afford gifts during the holiday season. This year, Pompei’s class is hard at work building hand crafted wood washer toss games, the classic tailgating/back yard game, as well as paddle ball sets. The toys will be picked-up by the Marines in December.
Pompei focuses on teaching technical skills as well as fostering an attitude of care and concern for others.
This tailgating games will be finished just in time for the holidays and will be donated, wrapped, and opened by joyful children.
