J. P. Mascaro & Sons Opens New Recruitment Center In Willow Grove

The recruitment center, located near Willow Grove train station, will also be used as a manned substation.

NORRISTOWN, PA — The waste management organization for eastern Montgomery County and parts of Bucks County announced Wednesday in a news release that it's opening a new recruitment center in Willow Grove.

The company, J.P. Mascaro & Sons, said the new facility is intended to help hire new drivers, helpers and maintenance personnel while serving as a manned substation.

Also, as the facility is situated near the Willow Grove train station, employees will have easy access to public transit, hopefully shortening commutes and workdays.

Pat Mascaro Jr., Director of Human Resources, said the company first tested its recruitment center model two years ago in the Borough of Pottstown and saw success.

Mascaro said the facility will help the company increase its workforce while helping ease commute time for employees.

J. P. Mascaro & Sons last week reached an agreement with Whitemarsh Township after some residents said their waste was not picked up as scheduled. The agreement allows the waste company 30 to 45 days to reorganize and shore up service in the township.

In a letter, the township's solicitor implored the company to provide more supervision for its trucks and crews and to devote more resources to serve the community.

On Facebook, Mascaro said the company's service has been interrupted by an increase in household waste, limited access to public transit, a minimized workforce and employees self-quarantining after testing positive for the new coronavirus.

The new recruitment center is located at 190 North York Road in Willow Grove. J.P. Mascaro & Sons had 28 job openings listed on its website as of Wednesday morning.
