Man Dead After Attempted Murder-Suicide In Abington: Police

A woman was shot several times by the man, but she is expected to survive, police said.

ABINGTON, PA — A man is dead after an attempted murder-suicide in Abington, police said.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday on the 1500 block of Arline Avenue, in the Rosyln section of the township.

Circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, though the man and the woman knew each other, according to authorities. It’s believed that after shooting the woman several times, the man fled the scene, police said.

He was located nearby a few hours later, dead inside his car. Police said it appears that he took his own life.

The woman was taken to Abington-Jefferson Health. She is now in stable condition.

An investigation remains underway.

Police have not identified the man or woman involved in the incident.
