Montco Man Charged With 100 Counts Of Child Porn: DA

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — A Montgomery County man has been arrested after police said he kept images and videos of child pornography involving children under the age of 13.

Harley Strauss, 47, of the Glenside section of Cheltenham Township, faces 100 felony counts of possessing child pornography.

The investigation began after authorities received a cyber tip regarding the child porn and traced the IP address to Strauss' residence on South Easton Road, the DA's Office said.

A warrant was served on April 2. A total of 313 photographs and 73 videos of children engaged in sexual acts were found on his cell phone, and 218 of the images were of children under the age of 13, police said.

Bail was set at $20,000. A preliminary hearing is set for May 13.
