Montco Man Charged With Ethnic Intimidation After Drunk Texts
Police said the were 16 pages worth of racist and threatening texts sent after 2 a.m.

UPPER GWYNEDD, PA — One man has been arrested after police in Upper Gwynedd said he made racist and threatening phone calls while he was drunk to a local resident.
Police became aware of the incident back on Aug. 22, when the victim told authorities that he had received a missed call at around 2:19 a.m.
The call was followed by texts from the same number "containing racial, lewd, threatening, and obscene language," according to police.

The number was traced to David James Eyes, 44, who admitted to police he had made the call and sent the texts after being shown a 16-page transcript of the texts, authorities said. Police said he told them he was intoxicated when he sent the texts.
The victim said he did not know who Eyes was.

Eyes was charged with ethnic intimidation, terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, harassment-lewd/threatening language, and harassment-repeatedly alarm or annoy.
Bail was set at $10,000. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 8.
