More Than 2,000 Without Power In Abington
Breaking: More than 2,000 people were left without power in Abington Friday as high winds, rain, and snow hit the region.

ABINGTON, PA — High winds and driving snow and rain hammered the Philadelphia region on Friday morning into the afternoon, and the Abington area was not left unscathed.
As of about 2:15 p.m., Abington had 2,108 outages, according to PECO outage maps. Upper Moreland had 1,017 outages and Lower Moreland had 18 outages, while Horsham had 864.
Estimated restoration times varied wildly, with some expected to be back online shortly, and others with estimates coming later in the evening.

All told, more than 11,000 residents across Montgomery County suffered some kind of outage for at least a brief period of time, the maps showed.
Wind gusts of up to 60 mph were expected, as well as rain and wet snow, along with flooding risks.

The storm has already caused impacts in the Philadelphia area. SEPTA is reporting several delays. Hundreds of flights out of Philadelphia International Airport are also delayed or canceled. Travelers should check with their carrier before departing to the airport.
