New Eco-Friendly, Organic Grocery Store Opening Up In Abington
Residents of the Abington area will have a brand new, environmentally friendly food shopping option starting this week.
ABINGTON, PA — Residents of the Abington area will have a brand new, environmentally friendly grocery store option starting this week.
Mom's Organic Market is opening up their doors on Friday, Sept. 4th, on 925 Easton Road in the Roslyn section.
The store will bring some added competition to an area which has a few Acmes, a Giant, and Aldi, not to mention the more similarly grouped Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.

It's the fourth Mom's location in the Philadelphia area, with locations in Bryn Mawr, Center City, and Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
The company, which says its purpose is to "protect and restore the environment," will donate five percent of all proceeds from opening week at their Abington store to the Delaware Riverkeeper Network.

Some features of the store include 10 foot wide aisles to promote social distancing, a large rooftop solar array that will provide 40 percent of the store's power, electric car charging stations, a recycling center for compost, eyeglasses, cell phones, batteries, and more, as well as unique departments like a "Backyard Beekeeping" section.
The company says they do not allow products which target children with licensed cartoon characters.
