Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for County

Bring in the patio furniture and cover the grill. This could be a doozy.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service. Alerts were issued at 7:45 p.m. The warning is in place until 8:30 p.m.

The storm is said to bring quarter-sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts. The NWS called it a "dangerous storm."

"If you are in its path, prepare immediately or damaging winds, large hail and deadline cloud-to-ground lightning," said the alert. "People outside should move to a shelter, preferably inside a strong building away from windows."
