Winter Weather Advisory Issued In Montgomery County, Snow Expected Overnight

Breaking: Winter Weather Advisory issued, 1-3 inches inches of snow could fall overnight. Expect a slippery Friday morning, the NWS says.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory across the Philadelphia region beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday and going through Friday morning. Accumulating snow is likely.

The advisory is in place for Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, where one to three inches of snow could fall. The entire region could get some accumulating snow, however.

Snow will begin between 8 and 11 p.m. and become steady overnight, the NWS predicts. It will end between 3 and 6 a.m. Friday, the NWS says.

Residents should expect hazardous travel conditions overnight Thursday into Friday and a potentially slippery Friday morning commute.

Tonight: Snow, mainly before 4am. Low around 25. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Friday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 34. North wind 6 to 8 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. West wind 6 to 8 mph.

Saturday: A slight chance of snow before 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 28. North wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
