Wyncote Woman, Novelist Named Authors Guild Ambassador

WYNCOTE, PA — A local author has been chosen to lead a program supporting emerging and established writers in the area.
Janet Benton, whose debut novel "Lilli de Jong" was published last May, was named the inaugural Authors Guild Ambassador for the Philadelphia area.
Benton will help lead programs that serve writers in the area, including public and private events that offer "camraderie, information, and support," according to a news release.

The Authors Guild, a professional writer's organization established in 1912, has created chapters in metropolitan areas around the country to help with things like publishing contracts, workshops, author readings, and networking.
Benton will be joined by Sally Wiener Grotta, another area author and journalist.
