Crime Stats: Fraud, Burglary, Thefts From Cars

A roundup of police calls for the week ending Nov. 25 in Ardmore, Merion, Wynnewood, Penn Wynne and Haverford.

Lower Merion police responded to approximately 366 calls the week ending Nov. 25 throughout Ardmore, Merion Station, Wynnewood, Penn Wynne and Haverford, down from about 395 calls for service received the previous week.

From Nov. 19 to 25, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:

  • One reported attempted suicide
  • One burglary on the 100 block of Elm Ave. in Ardmore reported at 12:09 a.m. on Nov. 21
  • Two DUIs
  • A fatal train accident
  • Five fires
  • One case of fraud by impersonation
  • 13 car accidents with property damage
