Additionally, the stores will open for one hour each day from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. to only serve shoppers age 60 and older, due to that age cohort's increased risk of being infected by the virus.

GIANT employees will not be checking shoppers IDs, but ask shoppers under 60 respect the 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. 60-and-up shopping time to "do the right thing for your neighbors."

Shoppers who do not want to go out in public during the outbreak can also have groceries delivered through GIANT Direct and MARTIN’S Direct. Currently, only contactless deliveries for all customers in all areas until further notice. Contactless delivery means that drivers will practice social distancing during deliveries.

Available delivery slots are limited, but GIANT is working to expand delivery capacity.

Stores will also limit shoppers to two items of certain products, such as paper goods and disinfectants.

The GIANT Company is hiring temporary and part-time team members across its family of brands which includes GIANT, MARTIN’S, GIANT Direct, MARTIN’S Direct and GIANT Heirloom Market. Immediate positions as service associates, cashiers, general stock clerks, drivers and fulfillment center selectors are available.
