Power Restored To Affected Lower Merion Area Residents: PECO
After power was knocked out for nearly 2,000 PECO customers during the heatwave, PECO said it has restored service to affected customers.
LOWER MERION, PA — Power has been restored to the hundreds of Lower Merion area PECO customers who were left without electricity during the heatwave.
PECO said power to about 1,900 affected customers has been restored after it was knocked out at about 11:15 a.m.
PECO officials said while the initial cause was reported as severe weather, a contracting crew that damaged underground equipment was the actual cause.

Officials said customers can turn off unnecessary lights not, keep thermostats a bit higher if your health allows it, close shades and blinds closed during day to block sun rays, use ceiling fans or window fans, and avoid using appliances that generate heat to save on potentially costly electric bills during the heat.
