How To Get The Coronavirus Vaccine In The Lower Merion Area
Many Lower Merion-area residents are wondering how they can get the coronavirus vaccine. See details on just that here.
LOWER MERION, PA — Montgomery and Delaware county officials are working hard to deliver coronavirus vaccines to as many residents as possible, but supply remains extremely limited.
In Montgomery County, 40,870 partial doses and 9,808 full doses of the vaccine have been administered as of Thursday afternoon. In Delaware County, 23,007 partial doses and 5,062 full doses have been administered.

Multiple locations are expected to come online in the coming weeks and months to distribute the coronavirus vaccine around the Lower Merion area. This is all dependent, however, on when the state receives more vaccine shipments from the federal government.

As of now, Montgomery County Community College's Blue Bell campus and the Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon are serving as vaccination sites.

There are also several pharmacies and hospitals in the area that are starting to receive doses. A full list of these sites is available here.
Among those sites is Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood.
The state's health department also released an interactive map showing vaccination site locations.
How To Sign Up
Through the Chester County Health Department, which is serving Delaware County's health needs for the time being, residents can preregister for the vaccine by completing this form online here. Vaccines are free of charge and for people age 16 and older who live or work in Delaware County.
Delaware County is vaccinating people in Phases 1A and 1B for now. There is no word on when these groups will be completely vaccinated or when the county will begin vaccinating suqsuquent phase groups.
Delaware County residents with questions about the vaccine can contact the newly-established coronavirus call center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling 484-276-2100 or emailing Covid19Resources@co.delaware.pa.us.
Montgomery County also created an online hub for information on the coronavirus vaccine. At the hub is a form for qualified residents to register for the vaccine. Once registered, residents will be contacted to schedule a vaccination appointment once sufficient supplies arrive, officials said. Those whose status changed last week will be shifted from the 1B list to the 1A list and do not need to register a second time, officials said.
Individuals in 1B and 1C can preregister for an appointment to be vaccinated at the Montgomery County website. Registration for 1A is available at the same link.
Vaccine Supplies in Delaware and Montgomery counties
Delaware County last week got 1,200 doses of vaccine and got 2,000 doses this week. Officials expect to receive 2,000 doses next week, as well.
In Montgomery County, about 5,000 doses are being allocated per week. With some 250,000 residents eligible to receive the vaccine in the expanded 1A category, it could take many months, or even a year, to get through that category.
