The Schools That Teach website provides information about how much each district would receive in funding from Wolf’s budget proposal. It also shows the savings in property taxes under a budget proposal that increases education funding through a severance tax on natural gas and increases in the state income and sales taxes, PoliticsPA reported.
According to the Schools that Teach Website, a school funding increase of $276,506 is proposed for the Lower Merion School District in 2015-16.

In his budget proposal released last week, Wolf said he plans to increase education spending by $400 million in 2015-16 and by $2 billion over four years, The Morning Call reports.
“My budget makes historic investments in education, and www.schoolsthatteach.com shows how my proposed budget will benefit students, schools and property owners in a way that is user-friendly and easy to access,” Wolf said. “My budget proposal increases funding for Pennsylvania’s education system by $1 billion and this website will show users how much of that money will go to increase funding to their local school districts and decrease property taxes in their areas.”
