Kids Can Learn to DJ at Ardmore's Studio 1200

Classes start Sept. 21 for eight-week DJ 101 class, which teaches youngsters how to spin EDM records and create a DJ persona.

Studio 1200, Ardmore’s own “DJ Academy,” will soon begin its fall DJ 101 class, where kids between 3rd and 8th grades can learn how to be DJs.

The class will have its first day Monday, September 21, from 6 to 7:30 each Monday night. There are separate classes for different age groups; each class costs $349.

Studio 1200 promises that kids can “learn the basics of beat-matching, mixing, blending, scratching & DJ software,” while also exploring modern Electronic Dance Music & basics of music theory.Students are also encouraged to create their own DJ names, their own brand, and their own logos.
